Each year, AET makes a number of prestigious awards to recognise the best papers presented at the European Transport Conference. Papers considered for these awards will be reviewed by a subject-panel made up of senior academics and professionals from across the transport community. The awards include:
Details of the awards, eligibility for candidates and guidelines from the judging panels will be found on the AET website.
If you are eligible and you have a paper that you feel will satisfy the guidelines of the judging panels, you should submit your paper for one or more of the awards by ticking the appropriate box when you register the details of your paper.
Winners of an AET award will not only have a valuable cash prize and a lasting memento of the award but, most important of all, they will have the benefit of a respected professional achievement.
Everyone who attends the Conference pays the appropriate attendance fee for one, two or three days. This includes speakers and Programme Committee members. Members of the Association receive discounts on their attendance fees according to their category of membership. Those aged 26 and under will receive a discount on their attendance fee of 50% and those from the new member states of the European Union are able to have two places for the price of one.
The fees for the Conference will be confirmed in April 2008, but as an indication the fee for one day attendance is likely to be in the range of £280 or EUR 400 for members or £320 or EUR 450 for non-members. Booking packages will be available for three-day attendance and for multiple bookings. Speakers and Programme Committee members will be able to take advantage of a discounted early booking incentive for booking and payment before the end of May 2008.
